Hi!

We have got the production environment and a testing environment for SpiraTest.

Every now and then we are upgrading versions and from v 4.0 to v 4.1 there is lot of changes.

One change is in requirements: workflows.

So, we want first create our own workflow in testing environment (by using version 4.1) and later on put it on use in the production.

This is going to happen right at the same time when the production is upgraded into 4.1. (today it is not).

The qustion is: how to copy the new requirement workflow (made and tested in testing environment) from one database into anothet in order to

avoid double work in making new workflows?

I appreciate to get the answer alo into my email olli.mensio@nls.fi

Hi Olli

Assuming that they are on different servers, there is not currently a way to migrate a requirements workflow from a test server to a production server, unless you simply migrate over the entire SQL Server database. However that will affect all projects. So I would recommend trying out your workflow in the test server but not spend too much time on it, just use the test server to understand the concept.

Then write the actual workflow on the production server.

What about copying requirement workflow from one project into another inside the same database server (SpiraTest instance)?

If this is not possible in version 4.1 can it be adde into future versions? You cab export elements like test cases, incidents etc. from UI , but in administarion ui almoust nothing.
