Bugs/issues?

I have been working a few hours with Spiratest now, and so far I think there are some main issues/bugs:

  • When you make new test requirements or new testcases in the list view, and you click cancel instead of update, there still is a new requirement or a new testcase present with the default values en default new "new folder", "new requirement", "new testcase"
  • When I'm making a new testcase, and I choose for the option "Edit parameters" and I add some parameters, there are not present/available in the testcase?
  • When I delete a subfolder, all my testcases (that were in the main folder) are deleted

Hi Bart

Thanks for your questions:
  1. That is normal behavior, it does an insert of the item and lets you then edit it. Clicking cancel, finishes the editing mode, but leaves the new item.
  2. You can then use the parameter in the test cases / test steps in the format ${parameter}
  3. That is normal and in line with how other folder systems (e.g. Windows Explorer) work. Deleting a folder will delete all the contained items. There is an undo option in Administration > Project History Changes. Just click 'Revert' on the delete operation that you want to undo.

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for the quick response.

With the 3th issue, I mean that my testcases on the same level as the subfolder will be deleted.

Also do you have a solution for this problem:
In Testlink, I used a lot the preconditions field, you can add a custom field on your testcases in Spiratest, but it's not possible to see that field when I'm executing a test manualy. In an other topic on this forum they said you can't change views with Spiratest.
Do you have some kind of work around?

Regards

Bart
