Adding a Build Identifier to a Release

We create a Release for the next formal rev of our software.  As we develop, we create Builds that are tested against our requirements.

I can create a Release - but since we are not using SpiraTeam - it appears that I cannot create a set of Builds associated with a Release?  Am I correct in my assumption?  Or is there a way to track Build status under a single Release?

When we execute a Test Case - there is a "Build" drop down that always contains "None"...  I would like to be able to see Tests execution against the various builds.

I see something called "Iterations"...  but that just appears to be another name for a "Release".

Some clarification would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Brian

Builds are available in both SpiraTest and SpiraTeam.

However they are not generated in the UI, but are created through the API. You can use one of our plugins for Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, TFS, etc. that use this API to create the builds for you, or just call the REST / SOAP API yourself.
