Task Gantt Chart, show tasks also on summary releases

Hi all,

Curretly we have SpiraTeam v6.12.0 and on Task Gantt Chart it doesn't shows tasks, which are on summary-releases. That behaviour is different in comparison to how tasks are filtered on a list view, where tasks are shown from summary-releases too.

Example:

if I have next structure of Releases:

1. Version 1

1.1 Version 1.1 (children of 1.)

1.2 Version 1.2 (children of 1.)

And if I have a task with release "Version 1" it won't be shown on a Gantt chart. Could you fix it as I would like too see on a Gantt chart tasks from summary-releases too.

Why is it necessary and why I can not move tasks into children releases? There could be tasks that should be on a main release by it's nature or which are not possible to split into smaller parts to be fit into smaller time-periods.

If I change type of the release from "Major Release" to "Sprint", tasks appear on a Gantt Chart. So, the problem is solved, but such behaviour may surprise other customers.

Hi David!

We have updated to SpiraTeam v6.15.1.0 but there is a problem with your receipe.

If the summary release has type "Sprint"  (that is necessary to show tasks under it based on your recommendations) we can not use a release filter at the top of the Gantt-page as now it shows:

"Sorry, there is no data to display" (but in reality there are tasks under that release and other releases).
