Looking Ahead: A Transition from TaraVault
As part of this modernization initiative, we are announcing the retirement of TaraVault, our source code management platform, by early April 2025. While TaraVault has served our customers well over the years, the time has come to transition to more modern solutions that can better support your needs. With the move towards cloud-based continuous integration, continuous deployment, and AI-optimized DevOps, we aim to dramatically improve our integration with the two leading code management platforms: GitLab and GitHub.
This transition is an important step forward in our efforts to equip you with the most advanced tools and ensure our offerings align with the latest industry standards. We already provide multiple layers of integration with these two platforms, including:

The ability to connect GitHub and GitLab code repositories for code viewing and traceability in Spira

The ability to integrate GitHub Actions and GitLab Workflows into our Spira platform

Bidirectional synchronization of work items including tasks and issues between Spira, GitHub, and GitLab.
We plan on expanding these three discrete offerings into a more seamless integration with GitLab and GitHub so that you can more easily view and orchestrate your DevOps pipeline with real-time traceability. Our plans include enhanced integration of Spira’s release, task, and code management into the CI pipelines, simpler setup and provisioning of GitHub and GitLab integration, and leverage of the new GenerativeAI features of Spira to improve code generation and validation.
What to Expect Next
We are committed to making this transition as smooth and seamless as possible. Below is a high-level timeline of the key milestones to help you prepare:

January 2025 – February 2025: We will provide detailed migration resources, including recommendations for alternative platforms to help you evaluate the best options for your needs.

February 2025 - March 2025: Inflectra’s technical experts will be available to assist with migration planning, platform selection, and implementation.

March 2025: Migration assistance will continue, with hands-on support for data transfer and platform setup.

By April 2025: TaraVault will officially be retired, completing this phase of modernization.
